The challenge
Akers Construction came to us with a Facebook page and an Instagram page. That was it. No website, and nothing on Google. Commercial work gets awarded by builders, project managers and head contractors who look you up before they call, so an empty search result costs the business at the exact moment someone is deciding whether to take it seriously. Anyone searching for commercial carpentry in the area never saw them at all.
What we did
- Designed and built the website around commercial work rather than a generic trade template: capability, project types, service area and a clear way to get in touch
- Claimed and built out the Google Business Profile properly, with categories, service areas, services and photos that match the website
- Made the business details consistent across the website and the profile, and built the pages around how people in the area actually search for the work
- Kept it off his plate: one brief up front, clear updates through the build, no chasing

The results
Akers Construction now has a live website and a live Google Business Profile. The business shows up when someone looks it up, and it holds up when a commercial decision maker does the check before they call. The website went live at the end of July 2026, so there is no search history to report on yet.
